nature and level of work being performed. They are not intended

responsibilities required of the position.
I. SUMMARY Under the general guidance of the Centre Director,
and the Cambridge A-Level Programme Management Committee (CMC) ,
the Centre Principal directs the academic operations of the
Cambridge International Examinations (CIE) Centre administered
by the host school and Dipont Education Management Group , and
provides professional guidance and leadership to the programmes
as appropriate. The CP also undertakes teaching of his/her
specialised A-level subject up to 18 teaching hours a week. .
II. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Specific
1. Teaches up to 18 teaching hours per week according to CIE
subject specifications.
2. Supervision of academic personnel, which includes discussion
and monitoring of teachers�� teaching plan, work allocation,
training, and problem resolution.
3. Evaluates teacher performance through periodic classroom
observations and makes recommendations for teacher development.
4. Prepares students thoroughly for CIE examinations ; ensuring
that students experience ��mock�� examinations once per semester
and practice answering questions under examination conditions at
regular intervals throughout the academic year for each subject.
5. Ensures ��student progress reports�� and ��student feedback
forms�� are completed as specified in Dipont��s ��Handbook for
Student and Teacher Evaluation��.
6. Examinations Officer of Centre with responsibility to ensure
the proper conduct of examinations in line with CIE regulations
and guidelines. Designated ��key-holder�� of Centre as defined in
CIE regulations and guidelines.
7. Work closely with counselors, advises students regarding
their applications to western universities (UCAS procedures -
advice regarding completion of form, students personal
statements, provision of student references etc)
8. Organises and participates in meetings with parents
9. Assists in organising and participates in ��Open Days for
prospective students and parents.
10. Take part in host school events when necessary

1. Provides supportive leadership to motivate academic staff and
students to achieve peak productivity and performance, and
interacts and collaborates with students, parents and host
school to build an academic environment that maximises student
learning and academic performance,
2. Create a stable, smooth-functioning educational organisation
by establishing and maintaining an environment of mutual trust
and respect.
3. Provides advice and support in development of curriculum.
4. Assists with the development and implementation of policies
and procedures to ensure efficient and safe operation of the
centre . Offers suggestions concerning the administrative and
daily operations of the Centre.

I. SUMMARY: To implement teaching an AP subject according to the College Board course specifications, course audit, and Dipont requirements; take responsibility for a fair share of essential services within the AP center as a learning community, facilitate student learning and productive behavior, develop and maintain a stimulating learning environment, assess and evaluate student progress according to prescribed criteria; demonstrate professional teacher standards, ethics and responsibility; liaise with parents and undertake further in-service training as appropriate or required by the AP center director of studies.
II. DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1.Teaches up to 26 teaching periods per week to AP students according to the College Board course specifications;
2.Provides the AP center director of studies with outline of teaching plan and schemes of work regularly for the academic year;
3.Sets and marks ��mock�� examinations once per semester, and ensures that students practice answering questions under examination conditions at regular intervals throughout the academic year;
4.Writes monthly student reports as specified in Dipont��s ��Handbook for Student and Teacher Evaluation��;
5.Acts as personal tutor to a group of students as assigned by the AP center director of studies;
6.Participates in meetings with parents;
7.Participates in the Open Days meeting prospective students and parents;
8.Participates in examination supervision;
9.Is responsible for advising the AP center director of studies regarding own specialized subject resources required for students to optimize learning experience;
10.Conducts extracurricular activities, as agreed upon with the AP center director of studies, and other duties assigned to enhance the learning experience of the students and smooth functioning of the center;
11.Assists students in their college application.
