About Our Company
Dipont was founded in Australia in 1990 as a private emigration and visa consulting company, focused primarily on providing advice, support and services to Chinese students studying overseas. In 1994, Dipont began roll-out in mainland China and established branch offices in Beijing, Shanghai, Nanjing, Chengdu, Xi'an, Shenzhen, Chongqing, Hangzhou and Wuxi, in addition to representative offices in the US, Canada and the UK.
In 2003, we became a senior subsidiary centre and associate partner of the University of Cambridge International Examinations (CIE) in China. This was a further milestone for Dipont - entering a new sector to provide direct educational services to Chinese institutions and students. Dipont adopted the strategy of cooperating closely with provincial educational administrations on behalf of CIE and individual public high schools. Great success has been achieved with this strategy and Dipont has become the largest provider of the CIE A Level programme in China.
International Education in China
In 2009, we became authorised participants of the AP (Advanced Placement) Programme and we are currently in the process of developing an IB (International Baccalaureate) provision.
At present, Dipont has over 300 Chinese employees and more than 200 foreign teaching staff. We have over 4,600 students currently studying in our foreign curricula centres and envisage this increasing to 8,000 students in the next two years across at least 25 centres.
Educational Exchange Programmes
Our additional educational programmes have developed over the past 15 years, including 'High School Year Abroad'; special courses for gifted and talented students; short-term educational camps; an Au Pair programme; 'Teach in China', 'Work and Travel' and 'Academic Ambassador' programmes. We estimate that over 25,000 young people have participated in these programmes since 1994.
